From ancient laurel forests with bubbling streams to deep valleys filled with palm trees and black sand beaches, La Gomera is the unsung hero of the Canary Islands. Travel by 4x4 along forest tracks and secondary roads that turn this adventure into an up-close experience with the island’s nature and beauty.
We set sail by ferry from southern Tenerife toward San Sebastián de La Gomera. During this 50-minute crossing, it is common to spot dolphins or pilot whales—an experience that will undoubtedly fascinate you.
Once we touch down, the mystical landscape of Garajonay National Park will leave you breathless as you traverse its valleys and forests to reach the most stunning viewpoints. Next, we head up to Roque de Agando, the island’s iconic volcanic rock formation that pierces the sky at an incredible 1,500 meters high. As it is a protected area, we do not climb to the summit but stop at its lookout point for breathtaking views.
We will take a break to enjoy lunch and recharge our energy before witnessing a demonstration of "Silbo." A local expert will perform an exchange of messages using this unique articulated whistled language, which can be heard from more than 3 kilometers away.
Learn all about the island that served as the bridge to discovering the New World.
